Initial Ideas

After all reading the novel, we came back and decided to put our heads together to decide how we were going to create the set. The book makes emphasis on two rooms: the living room and Gregor's (the main character) bedroom. It was unanimous that these were the two rooms we wished to create within the set but we were unsure about how we would go about doing this. Some key ideas were making one room very clean and tidy and the other room horrible and dirty. We also had some ideas about creating a platform on which to build raising the set up slightly as well. We were still unsure of what time period in which we would build the set. We agreed that it should be at the beginning of the 19th century so we decided to use victorian style as a start but this will most likely change in the near future.
